Squarespace
Put the box office on your site.
Marquee is the ticket desk. Squarespace is just the page it sits on. Publish this app, then paste the link below into your site.
Before you sell a real show
- This desk does not charge credit cards. Online checkout issues a real scannable ticket and records the price. Collect the money with your own reader, Square, cash, or a processor you already use.
- No names or emails are stored. The ticket link is the ticket. Send that link to the buyer.
- Change the door code in Staff → Shows → Room. The sample code stops working after you do.
- Cancel the sample shows (Low Voltage, Night Shift, Hollow) before you share the page.
- Set your venue name, online fee, and tax in the same Room panel.
1Publish, then copy your link
Use the published address of this app, not a preview. The snippets below fill in with whatever address you are on right now.
Box office

Staff door (bookmark this on the phone that scans)
https://your-marquee-link/house
2Embed the show list
In Squarespace, edit the page, click the insert point, and add an Embed block. Choose the code option if you see both URL and code, then paste this.
Embed code
<iframe src="https://your-marquee-link/?embed=1" title="Tickets" style="width:100%;height:960px;border:0;border-radius:16px;background:#0e0e0c;" loading="lazy" ></iframe>
Squarespace Personal plans sometimes block custom code. If the block will not save, use a Button block instead and point it at the box office link. Label it Tickets.
Do not embed the scanner. Phone cameras usually fail inside a page frame. Door staff should open the staff link in Safari or Chrome itself.
3Run the door
On the door phone, open the staff link and add it to the home screen.
- Enter the door code. It stays until you lock or close the browser.
- Scan is the first tab. It picks the show closest to now.
- Use camera, or type the code printed under the barcode if the room is dark.
- Admit means let them in. Already in means stop. Void means it was refunded. Wrong show means a different night.
Try it now with the sample codes on the Scan tab: a good ticket, one already inside, and one voided.
4Sell at the door and online
Online: fans open the show, pick a tier, and tap Get tickets. They land on a page with a QR code and a Code 128 barcode. They can print it or keep the link.
In person: Staff → Sell. Choose cash, or card if you charged it on a separate reader. The ticket appears on the screen. They can photograph it, or you can tap Mark inside now if they are walking straight in.
Comps: turn on Comp and pick a reason (artist, press, staff, venue). Those count against capacity and show on the board as comps, not revenue.
5Track the night
Staff → Board shows ticket sales, fees, who is already inside, and what is still out. Online, cash, card, and comps are listed apart. Void a ticket if you refund it. The spot goes back on sale.
Staff → Shows is where you add a night, tiers, prices, capacity, promo codes, and whether re-entry is allowed. Off sale stops the website but the door can still sell. Cancelled refuses scans.
